Award-winning playwright Victor Rodger (My Name is Gary Cooper, Ranterstantrum, Sons) presents a series of humorous monologues exploring the gay Samoan male experience - from a camp, closeted member of the Destiny Church to a butch Hamo homo with plenty of swag and everything in between.

Incorporating the current controversy surrounding the Same Sex Marriage Bill currently before Parliament, Black Faggot is an often hilarious but always provocative piece of work from one of New Zealand’s leading playwrights.

Black Faggot kicks off the Auckland Fringe Festival at the Basement and is a featured performance of Auckland Pride Festival.

“Erotic, funny and full of machete-sharp dialogue” - Theatreview on My Name Is Gary Cooper

“A black comedy with brio attitude and guts” - The Listener on At the Wake

“An admirable lack of waffle and self indulgence” - New Zealand Herald on Ranterstantrum

“Leaves an indelible impression” - Dominon Post on Sons
