Robin Hyde continues to entrance down the years. This publication, releasing the last of the hitherto unpublished autobiographical writings, has been brought together under the title Your Unselfish Kindness. Journalist, poet and novelist Robin Hyde took sanctuary as voluntary patient at the Auckland Mental Hospital, The Lodge, in Avondale in 1933 and resided there intermittently until 1937, during which time she wrote prolifically, producing novels, three volumes of poetry and a slew of essays and articles. Editor Mary Edmond-Paul will be joined by Gordon McLauchlan to discuss the remarkable work produced during this period by one of New Zealand's iconic literary figures.
