Once again the YMCA Mt Albert is pleased to announce our very successful Y-Stars Kids Dance Movement Therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum (also related disorders including ADHD, Anxiety, PDD and developmental delays). This programme will run again in Term 3 at the YMCA Mt Albert. The course begins Friday 20th July, and run for 10 sessions. The fee is $200 for Term 3 and there are funding options available if necessary.
This is a great programme with positive feedback from parents and children.Y Star Kids Dance Movement Therapy includes dance, movement, music, play and body awareness. Children will learn and develop social skills and emotional literacy in a fun filled, physically active based programme within a small group setting.
There are four groups available for different age groups and levels.
Therapist Anaia Treefoot (MA Clinical Arts Therapy) has studied in New York with Dance Therapy Early-Childhood Development Specialist Dr Suzi Tortora.
Group programmes available Fri afternoons for children ages 3-16.
