Auckland local, Jeremy Burfoot, is attempting two jet ski world records to create awareness for melanoma. He will attempt to break the longest distance travelled in six hours and the shortest time taken to complete 1000 kilometres. His motivation for the record is to advocate for early melanoma detection and treatment.
New Zealand GPS satellite tracking company Spidertracks is supplying him with live tracking for the event. Spidertracks will monitor his position, submitting speed and distance reports in real time so Burfoot’s family and fans can see his progress live.
Spidertracks director of operations James McCarthy is proud to offer support to such an important cause.
“At spidertracks, we’re committed to saving lives, so when we were asked to help raise awareness for this disease, we were eager to sign on.”
