Bring the whole family along to learn about and celebrate one of our endangered local treasures. Whio or blue duck are under threat - find out about the work that is being done to protect them with a floortalk from Peter Russell of the Blue Duck Recovery Group and WhiOne captive breeding programme.
Keep the kids amused with craft activities and face painting.
Horizons Regional Council will announce the winner of their Whio Conservation Week colouring competition.
