On specific dates during Nga Whakatupuranga – Generations of Weaving exhibition, Rotorua Museum will host demonstrations using experienced weavers and their students.
They will use various techniques and media to show the wide range of woven art available today.
Come in to see the weavers at work in our Upper Foyer between 10am – 1pm on the following dates:
* Thurs 2 Aug - Gerry Karekare and students
* Wed 22 Aug - Meleta Bennett and students
* Thurs 6 Sept - Meleta Bennett and students
* Wed 12 Sept - Jacque McRae-Taarei and students
It is free to view the weavers at work with Museum admission. Museum admission is $18 for adults, however Rotorua residents with relevant ID are free of charge.
