Walking The Square for Cure Kids

We are hoping to raise awareness of Cure Kids and help fundraise for this organisation.

Ken will be walking 50km on the day, which is 60 times around The Square, to prepare him for walking New Zealand from Stewart Island to Cape Reinga starting on the 28th of August 2012..

The format for the event is a fun day which will include:
- Children's rides for all ages donated by PromoKing
- Sausage sizzle
- Candy floss stall
- Performances by NZ children's music group Kiwibop

Kiwibop will be performing two shows: one late morning (approximately 11am), the other early afternoon (approximately 1.30pm).

Jono Naylor, The Mayor of Palmerston North, will join Ken for some laps of the square at 9.30am. We are also hoping that some of the Turbos and Jets will also come on board and keep Ken company.
