Waitakere Primary School in association with Waitakere Rural Fire Force are having a monster gala. There will be fire engine rides, amusement rides, police laser, pony rides, water dunking machine, zoom slide, games stall and much more for the kids, all at an affordable price.
There will be gourmet chicken burgers, ham rolls, sausage sizzle, cake stall, corn fritters, candyfloss and a cafe with food and cold drinks for sale.
There will be a silent auction, white elephant stall, quality second hand books, bric a brac, plant stall, mystery bottle and coconut shy.
Our local firefighters will be demonstrating a car cut out and a car fire. You can also take a bash at these cars before the demonstrations. Yes that's right, take a hammer and legally bash the car with it.
Ever wondered what it like to be a firefighter, have a go trying on the firefighting gear and drag a dummy.
There is something for everyone at this gala.
