Poets & Anthologies
Four poets come together to read from their work and discuss the wider world of anthologising poetry. How are selections made? What makes a poem stand out?
British poet Michael Hulse’s own collections include the Secret History, he also co-edited The 20th Century In Poetry. Harry Ricketts’ latest collection is Just Then and he recently co-edited 99 Ways Into New Zealand Poetry. Fiona Farrell’s latest work, The Broken Book, is a meandering travel book interrupted by 20 poems about the Christchurch earthquakes. Poet and anthologist Bill Manhire, whose latest collection is the victims of lightning, will lead the session.
With support from the Lion Foundation.
