The New Zealand School of Music will be hosting the Auckland appearance of songwriter, pianist and vocalist Theo Jackson on his first trip to New Zealand.
Since leaving the University of Durham with a music degree, Theo has played some of London’s most prestigious venues. Having been picked up by a British publishing house, Theo’s songs have taken their place alongside those of leading jazz artists Ian Shaw, Liane Carroll and Claire Martin. Equally comfortable when deliberating over the delicate lines of an emotional ballad or improvising fluent bop vocal solos, Theo’s style is very much his own.
