This year the Trusts Secondary Schools art award will be exhibited in the main gallery of Lopdell House as our closing exhibition. This scholarship is open to year 12 and 13 students who are applying to go to art school in 2013. Students need to either attend a West Auckland school or live in West Auckland and be a NZ resident.
This is an amazing opportunity for students to exhibit their work in a gallery setting as well as have the chance to receive one of the generous prizes up for grabs. The first prize is a $5000 scholarship funded by the Trusts to help with expenses in the first year as an art student. There is also a photography award sponsored by Apix photography.
