This year the biennial exhibition of the Handweavers & Spinners Guild Auckland Inc will be held at the Depot Artspace Gallery. The theme is "the sky", and we are really looking forward to producing work for the show.

'The Sky's the Limit' will celebrate colour, creativity and style with a selected display of exciting new work, using the textile crafts and techniques and constructed from a wide range of natural and other fibres. Our members will create one of a kind garments and accessories, and unique articles for the home and family and for public and private spaces. Techniques will include felting, knitting, weaving spinning, crochet, tapestry weaving and stitchery.

There will be two 'Live Sundays' where members will be on-hand to demonstrate their craft, and talk about the works.

Sunday September 2nd will feature the spinners & knitters, and the felters, and on Sunday September 9th the weavers and the tapestry weavers will be in action. Come along and have some while you try your hand at the various crafts.
