On 6 May 2012, for the first time ever, Amnesty International will host the Secret Policeman’s Ball in New Zealand, a spin-off of one of the world’s most loved benefit gigs with top notch comedians such as Wilson Dixon, Urzila Carlson, Rhys Mathewson, Nick Rado, Simon McKinney, Ewen Gilmour and Penny Ashton!

But while you are laughing your heads off, we also want to remind you that in some countries comedians are silenced simply for exercising their right to free speech - so we would also like to draw attention to the plight of those artists currently being held in detention for speaking out.

Hosted by Raybon Kan, we have signed up eight top comedians who will not only raise awareness of human rights, but have dedicated themselves to have you rolling in the aisles!
