Mollie and Giles Ralston are expecting the first guests' arrival at Monskwell Manor Guest House.
Out of the worsening snowstorm come a varied group of characters, none of whom are exactly as the Ralstons expected. Christopher Wren, Mrs Boyle, Major Metcalf, and Miss Casewell are joined by the extravagant Mr Paravicini as the weather closes in and the news details a juicy murder.
The situation worsens when a police Sergeant arrives, warning of a link to the reported murder and that everyone is in danger. Suspicions mount, secret pasts are uncovered, and it turns out that everyone has something to hide.
The Mousetrap is the longest running modern play and is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2012. The play has been released for amateur production for a limited time, and Cambridge Repertory are thrilled to be providing an opportunity for audiences to see this iconic play, without having to travel to London's West End.
