What is CouchSurfing?
Imagine having an interesting friend wherever you go - whether that’s 2,000 miles away, or right in your hometown.

How does CouchSurfing work?
When you join CouchSurfing, you tap into our network of welcoming people worldwide. You can share your hospitality and experience your city through new eyes by offering travelers a place to stay on their journey. You can bypass the typical hotel experience by staying at the home of a local and learning about their culture. You can join cool and interesting people for anything from a bike ride to a party using CouchSurfing Activities. And you can meet up with new people, whether at home or while traveling, for inspiring experiences and new friendships.

The weekly Wednesday drinks is where we all come to hang out, chat, exchange tips and travel stories plus contacts. There's always a great mix of people, locals, travelers, seasoned and new couchsurfers and their friends. It's the perfect place for people to share travel stories, ideas for NZ and world travel, even create new travel plans and find out about the CS activities planned.

So if you’re keen to come along, celebrate with other Couchsurfers and have a great time, if you're new to CS or it’s mid week and you just want a chill beer with some cool people, then come along to the awesome CS Drinks at the Bungalow 8 Bar from 6:30pm till late. Bring your friends along and introduce them to the wonderful world of Couchsurfing. Besides the crazy numbers we get during summer, this has been the longest running regular CS event in all of NZ (over 3 years and counting).

Event numbers range from a minimum of 60 in the winter to 120 in the summer.

Food - most of the meals on the menu are two meals for the price of one, so come along and enjoy dinner here!

It's great to see a lot of NZ hosts coming out as well to meet the new arrivals to this country. We have been seeing a good regular crew and we've been showing the newbies our wonderful Kiwi hospitality. See you there or miss the CS Party!
