The Adelaide Sax Pack is back!
The last time The Adelaide Sax Pack came to New Zealand the Capital Times in Wellington said "The Adelaide Sax Pack must be the best saxophone quartet in the world"... well, they probably aren't but they are pretty bloody good!... And they are coming back to Wellington.
The Adelaide Sax Pack are...
Adam Page - soprano saxophone
Tom Pulford - alto saxophone
Mike Stewart - tenor saxophone
Jon Hunt - baritone saxophone
What The Adelaide Sax Pack do...
They play sophisticated and down-right silly arrangements of not-so classic songs from the likes of Britney Spears, Toto, Madonna, The Proclaimers and Twisted Sister to name only a few. This show will surely put a smile on your face and a crimp in your hair!
When and where they are playing...
Performing at 8pm sharp (doors at 7:30).
Only $15 if you pre-book. $20 on the door. Tickets from http://www.cosmicticketing.co.nz or Cosmic stores. Direct ticket link: https://www.cosmicticketing.co.nz/event/show/1834
What you'll get out of the show: A deep, deep love for the saxophone... and Tommy's dance moves.

The Adelaide Sax Pack bio:
Formed for a Xmas gig in 2007, The Adelaide Sax Pack had no idea the concept they so loosely created would bring international acclaim and 'Saxophone Quartet Stardom' in their home town (Adelaide), interstate and overseas.
Consisting of Adam Page, Tom Pulford, Mike Stewart and Jon Hunt, individually they have played in many of Adelaide's best bands and performed with some world-class entertainers both locally and abroad. These include The Transatlantics, The Mike Stewart Big Band, Goose, Marmalade Circus, Natalie Cole, Adam Page Solo, Lisa Tomlins, James Morrison, Michael Fienstein, Marva Whitney (James Brown Band), Fred Wesley (James Brown Band), Jon Faddis, James Moody, Joe Lovano and Bob Mintzer, also appearing at festivals such as The Big Day Out and Falls Festival. But it is together, as The Adelaide Sax Pack that the magic really happens.
Achievements to date are playing for 2,500 people at the 2010 Generations in Jazz Festival, premiering Russian Composer Sofia Gubaidulina's "Transformation" at St. Peter's Cathedral, being nominated for Best Music at the 2010 Adelaide Fringe, travelling to New Zealand for a feature concert at Downstage Theatre, Wellington, and performing in June 2010 with Katie Noonan and The Captains.
