“Since we now hold this thread, let us unwind it.” – George Polti
Based on a list identified by Goethe, nineteenth-century French writer George Polti described 36 dramatic situations that he believed encompassed and categorised all dramatic stories.
The 37th Situation is an ensemble-based show staging all situations with the added challenge of a 37th. Incorporating experiences from the ensemble—believing that personal stories are worth sharing and putting on stage—the show is part living newspaper, part journal, high-paced; a fusion of poetry, sport, music, comedy, tragedy, experiment, political and social themes.
