The Big Dig is a woodchip shovelling competition held at Kawerau Woodfest.
This is tough and there is no other way to describe it. Take 3 grown men, give them a giant shovel each and get them to shovel 3 cubic metres of locally produced woodchips into a massive lugger bin.
Level it off and do it faster than the other team. Real men doing real hard labour.
You will not see this anywhere else in the world only in Kawerau!
The winners will be crowned the world champs.
