Thames South School is on the site of one of the first schools in New Zealand. The old school is carefully and lovingly maintained and the school's annual evening gala is a glittering affair. Bargain hunters have the chance to find a hidden treasure amongst the bric-a-brac of the bring and buy sale. There are quick fire raffles, a wide variety of food stalls and games for the kids. Make it a family night out and celebrate the heritage of Thames.
