Te Takere Open Day - Family Mardi Gras

The Te Takere Culture and Community Centre is set to open in Levin with a large family mardi gras-themed event bringing you a huge programme of fun activities, events and exhibitions to showcase Te Takere and provide a chance for the Horowhenua community to see what's on offer at this wonderful new facility.

Hosted by Frankie Stevens and music on the stage all day involving many local talented community groups.

Special out of town performers will be Highly Flammable from Wellington, they will give the Family Mardi Gras that extra wow-factor giving it a great spark of energy with stiltwalkers, statues, jugglers and special guest - Mirroman, who will create a stunning reflective mirrorball effect from the sun and display colourful clothes of onlookers. Be prepared for a wonderful display of energy, colour and surprises!
