Taranaki Truckers Group has been formed by a group of local truck drivers, owner drivers and enthusiasts who have come together to organise a great fun family event. Giving everyone in the community the opportunity to come along and view the wide variety of trucks we are going to have on display 5th February 2012 (Waitangi Weekend).

Our group has chosen the Child Cancer Foundation as our charity to support for this worthy event. All profits from the event will be going directly to them. We are very passionate about the Child Cancer Foundation and making this event a success so we can benefit the many children who suffer from cancer every year.

We would love to see as many trucks as possible attend to make this day a huge success for everyone involved and donate as much money as we can to this very worthy charity.
All trucks are to gather on Centennial Drive New Plymouth by 9am on the 5th of February where we will travel in convoy at 10am sharp along Breakwater Road/St Aubyn Street, turn right onto Dawson Street and then left onto Devon Street through the CBD to Nobs Line where we will put the trucks on display for the public to view. Prize Giving will be at 4pm and trucks will be free to leave the venue at 5pm. We will also be having truck rides around the block to give the public a chance to get up close and personal and to see the road from the cab. Where possible we would like to share this task amongst all the drivers, whether it is with your own truck, or to drive some rigs that we are hoping will be available to us.

The ground we have chosen for this inaugural show is not a huge venue, so depending on the number of registrations we receive, we may have to limit this to Truck/Tractor units only. We will be in touch if we do need to leave trailers at the yard.
The $15 dollars we are asking for registrations is to help with the setup of the day, however all profits will be donated to Child Cancer Taranaki.

We are also holding an after function at Bell Block Rugby Clubrooms, Hickford Park, Bell Block. This is for all Drivers, administration staff and partners to have a well earned drink or two to catch up, get together and meet and greet with those from around the country who we pass on the road on a daily basis but never get the chance to meet. Tickets for this are $15pp, which includes entertainment and supper from 7pm onwards. Please indicate numbers for the after function on the registration form. A limited number of tickets will be available on the day.
