Colleen Trenwith (Hamilton County Bluegrass Band, Ian Campbell (Legal Tender), Moira Howard (Legal Tender) and Andrew London (Hot Club Sandwich) have joined forces to present 'Tales of Tennessee'.
The show features a selection of stories and music accumulated over Trenwith's 40 year career on the stage, focussing on her most recent experiences in and around Tennessee.
The repertoire will range from Country, Western Swing and Bluegrass tunes popularised by artists such as Guy Clark, Gillian Welch and Alison Krauss to original songs by London; well-known for his humourous and satirical slant on Kiwi culture.
"As far as we're concerned", says Legal Tender guitarist Ian Campbell "Colleen is a national treasure. She's trodden a path that most Kiwi musicians can only dream about - especially in such an American-dominated genre as bluegrass music. It's an honour to walk out on the same stage."
Concert guests who dine in the hotel's Nikau restaurant on the night of the show will receive a 10% discount. A cash bar will be available in the function room.
Present your Eventfinder ticket for a 10% discount in Nikau Restaurant on the evening of the concert. Nikau Restaurant serves innovative cuisine using produce unique to New Zealand. Reservations are essential.
Door sales available unless sold out prior.
