The Sydney Balalaika Orchestra has performed in the Sydney Opera House, and in China and Russia at the request of those governments. Now, for the first time, this celebrated orchestra will perform in New Zealand. The orchestra will give two performances - in Christchurch and Ashburton - to raise money for the Russian Cultural Centre of Christchurch, which lost valuable assets in the earthquake of 22 February 2011.
