Starboard SUP Winter Series - Race 8

The final Starboard Winter Series race supports the NZ Prostate Cancer Foundation's Blue September, so dig around in the dress-up box for something blue to wear and we'll donate your entry to the charity. Get along early to have your face-painted (think Mel Gibson, Braveheart) and charge into battle with the Sharkskin Dash before Dark from Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Okahu Bay, proudly brought to you by Starboard NZ.

Exciting inner harbour course-racing with currents, ferry wake, boats and bumps all adding to the fun. Approx 3.6km course to suit wind and tide conditions, followed by a catch up with the SUP crew off the water for drinks and the big end of season prizegiving at the RAYC (hot showers and bbq too). All paddlers welcome. Shorter 1km course option for novice/junior paddlers.

End of season trophies and prizes awarded on a time and place-based points system (best 6), with spot prizes at every race including massage vouchers from Tania at www.mobilemassage.co.nz, Sharkskin goodies and the coveted tiki-branded Starboard gear.

Entry $20 per event ($10 for Novice/Juniors). High viz race vest and safety leash compulsory (these can be purchased at registration if you don't have one).
