Handel: Royal Fireworks Music;
Haydn: Trumpet Concerto;
Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 Eroica.

Dane Lam - conductor;
Sarah Wilson - trumpet.

Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto brims with musical inventiveness, with Haydn exploiting the trumpet’s range to the full.

Beethoven’s Eroica was initially entitled Bonaparte, but Beethoven changed the inscription on learning that the ‘hero’ declared himself Emperor.

Soloist Sarah Wilson, who studied at Auckland University and London’s Trinity College, is currently based in Brisbane.

Dane Lam is acclaimed as “one of the most talented young conductors Australia has produced” and also conducts in Japan, the UK, France (as assistant to Kurt Masur), and England.
