Significant Works is a museum standard exhibition featuring pre-eminent NZ artists and works of artistic significance.

There are iconic paintings by Don Binney, Robin White, Robert Ellis, Michael Smither, Dick Frizzell, Ralph Hotere, and others. A number of works have been made especially for this exhibition, including major sculptural works by Terry Stringer, Neil Dawson and Paul Dibble. Glass is represented by two internationally significant glass artists, Ann Robinson and Galia Amsel. Christine Webster contributes two cibachromes from the critically acclaimed “Black Carnival” series and John Parker a thirteen piece ceramic tableaux.
