Medical herbalist, Sandra Clair founded Artemis in 1998 when she discovered the world-class quality of medicinal plants in the wild alpine environments of New Zealand. With her initial tertiary education focusing on Health Science, she also achieved a Masters degree in Ethno-Medicine and two diplomas in Body Therapy. Complementing her academic training, she underwent a traditional Swiss apprenticeship in herbal medicine with a well-respected Swiss nun and midwife, who belonged to a long lineage of traditional herbalists. Sandra’s varied education has allowed her to integrate ancient botanical wisdom and modern scientific principles to create an organic range that promotes natural self-care.
