Sherpa with Sleepy Age + Psych Tigers

After the releases of "I'm Sparklers" and "Pretty Cool Optical Illusions", Auckland power-pop-turned-neo-psychadelia quintet (yes - there's five of them now) Sherpa have finally completed work on their long awaited debut album; the eccentrically named "Lesser Flamingo".

If that isn't an album title to elicit discussions during interviews, we don't know what is.

Engineered by the fantastic James Dansey (The Sneaks) in their practice space, and mastered in the United States by JJ Golden at Golden Mastering (who has mastered the likes of Devandra Banhart, Fucked Up, UMO, Calexico and The New Pornographers), Lesser Flamingo has already drawn comparisons to the works of The Flaming Lips, and is bringing back an age where rainbow kaftans are cool once more.

The band are joined on this jaunt around the country by the always impressive Sleepy Age, and will be selling copies of the album throughout the tour.
