Within the grounds of Ascension Wine Estate, Melbourne’s Essential Theatre will transform the vineyard to the Sicilian town of Messina, where a comedic plot of love and meddling families unfolds.
You can choose 'play only' or our special dinner + play option that includes buffet dinner served from 6pm plus reserved seating at the only tables at the performance*.
• Guests will be seated on the grass (except those who have purchased the 'dinner & play' option). Sand chairs, blankets & cushions only - no deck chairs.
• This is a traditional ‘in the round’ outdoor performance without the use of sets, stage or amplified sound.
• This is a ‘rain or shine’ event. If it is raining the performance will be moved indoors and *the buffet will be served at tables in the Bistro.
• Bring your own picnic but no BYO alcohol, glass or four-legged friends. Apart from the pre-booked buffet, only bar snacks will be available.
• Free parking on site.
