Set In Emotion

Alpha Street Art Studio and Gallery is a space where people who have intellectual disabilities and have an interest in art can access a range of creative activities, workshops and mediums that will empower them to live a fulfilling and rewarding life.

Through our in-house gallery, exhibitions and participation in the wider community, these artists show their unselfconscious originality and gain personal development, achievement and a sense of purpose through creative endeavour.

Set in Emotion celebrates the artistic expression of one Wellington’s Creative Spaces; Alpha Studio. This exhibition is where colours leap of the canvas and shapes jostle for position, boasting evocative works of uninhibited consciousness. The collection consists of colourful painting, craft, photography, sculpture, weaving, drawings, and prints. The contributing artists’ creations are original, expressive and full of movement.
