Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon

Preparations for the 2012 Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon are well underway. A few late frosts have kept the vineyard owners on their toes but all in all we're confident the course will look spectacular this year.

The race winds its way through 22 private vineyards and begins and finishes at the Saint Clair Cellar door and cafe. It's a truly unique experience with race goers returning year after year to compete, put simply, people love it. The Run, Hybrid and Walk divisions of the race make the race accessible for everyone. Serious competitors have the chance to test themselves against a course that demands plenty of grit.

There is no major prize, no spot prizes, no groaning race pack, but every finisher gets a bottle of Saint Clair wine. With Master of Wine Bob Campbell saying "...Saint Clair makes...perhaps the world's best Sauvignon Blanc..." that is no mean prize! Afterwards there is a great evening at the Marlborough Convention Center with gorgeous local food and a quality band. And you are in Marlborough, the gourmet capital of New Zealand at a time when it arguably looks its best...what's not to like!
