The Manawatu Rugby Union will be holding RugbySmart courses for all coaches and managers of secondary school and senior club rugby teams.
This is a compulsory one hour course concentrated on injury prevention through the coaching of good techniques. It is also a great opportunity to meet other coaches and managers involved in community rugby. Coaches will all receive a free DVD and coaching diary as a part of the course.
It is compulsory for all coaches, assistant coaches and managers to attend a RugbySmart course prior to the commencement of the rugby season.
Courses will be held at the following times and locations:
Note: for club coaches (secondary school coaches welcome to attend)
Wednesday 7 March - FMG Stadium, 6:30pm-7:30pm;
Monday 12 March - Marist Rugby Clubrooms, 6pm-7pm;
Monday 19 March - FMG Stadium, 6pm-7pm;
Tuesday 20 March - Te Kawau Clubrooms, 7:30pm-8:30pm;
Tuesday 20 March - Dannevirke Clubrooms, 7:30pm-8:30pm;
Thursday 22 March - FOB Oroua Clubrooms, 7:30pm-8:30pm;
Friday 23 March - FMG Stadium, 6pm-7pm.
