A regular on the trans-Tasman music scene since 2001, Rubix Cuba are once again bringing their offbeat rhythms and party vibes to New Zealand to help warm South Island locals and tourists alike.

After wondering "why don't we tour in summer for a change?", Rubix Cuba are set for a string of shows across New Zealand's South Island before heading to the snows in Australia for a series of shows that will be sure to warm crowds wherever they go.

This 6 piece ska/rock/dance band bring a variety or original numbers as well as unlikely covers spiced up with trumpet, trombone and an infectious beat that makes it hard for gig goers to sit down for too long.

With a resume that boasts experience and says "check these guys and girls out", Rubix Cuba have stood up alongside bands including The Special Beat (UK), The Mad Caddies (US), The Royal Crown Revue (US), Reel Big Fish (US), Lagwagon (US), MXPX (US), Xavier Rudd, Killing Heidi, Frenzal Rhomb, Cog, The Butterfly Effect and a host of likely and unlikely counterparts.

Ska + rock + Latin + dance + reggae + swing + punk = Rubix Cuba. They're hard to define but easy to listen to.
