In February this year, Adams was in Surrey, England followed by Wanaka, New Zealand. In Surrey Adams was inspired by the snow-covered heaths and woodlands. In Wanaka he was equally entranced by the delineating, late summer light effects on the surrounding mountains and the cerulean blue lake waters. He describes experiencing both winter and summer within one month as simply magical.

These experiences directly influenced subsequent works, with the results of his endeavours showcased in his solo exhibition, Lost and Found: Edges.
