Heron Park holds the confluence of two creeks which empty into the Waitemata Harbour.

Ecological restoration of this area will focus on enrichment planting along the banks of both creeks.

Riparian planting will reduce water temperature improving habitat for fish in the creeks, provide additional habitat for native birds and improve water quality. We’ll be removing weed nasties, wattle and woolley nightshade.
