As a natural barrier to the desert in Northwest China, the Minqin oasis in Gansu Province may disappear in coming years, and the three deserts that surround it - Badain Jaran, Tengger and the Kumtag will eventually spread to meet where the oasis is now. The Desire of Changu Village tells the story of a family’s life, and the conditions they live with in Changu village in Minqin.
