Go behind the lines of historic and current maps to find out just how much information they hold and the stories they have to tell. The Centre for Continuing Education lecture series brings together experts from The University of Auckland’s National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries. Guest lecturers include Elam School of Fine Arts senior lecturer Ruth Watson discussing the persuasiveness of maps and Dr Stephen Knight-Lenihan, Deputy Head of the Planning Department at the School of Architecture and Planning, mapping out Auckland's social and ecological future including how life might change for Aucklanders. The School of Environment’s Professor Pip Forer will discuss current developments and trends in cartography.
