The Rangiatiki River Festival is a celebration of life on the Rangitaiki River. Held on the 3rd of March at the Thornton Domain. Entry is free and attractions include food, music, world kina eating chamionships, beach touch rugby, kayak fishing, waka ama racing and kayak racing. For more information visit the website
