The headline act is the Musical Island Boys, the International Silver Medal Quartet at last year’s Barbershop Harmony Society International Competitions. In July they head again to the USA in their 'Quest for Gold' to become the first non-USA quartet to win this highly coveted award.
Supporting them on the programme will be the two host choruses, Mighty River Harmony and the Waikato Rivertones. The Rivertones also head off to the USA later this year to represent NZ as our current Sweet Adelines Gold Medal chorus. Local quartets Gridlock (2011 NZ Men's Silver Medal) and the women’s quartet RED will also perform along with three Young Singers in Harmony choruses.
