The Prosser Quirke exhibition is designed to showcase the work of artists and craftspeople who work in groups based in Rangiora.
They derive inspiration and encouragement from working together in this way, and the general public can participate in this enthusiasm by watching artists and craftsmen at work during the course of the exhibition weekend. These demonstrations, which are a particularly unique feature of the exhibition, are always keenly anticipated by the visiting public and provide a 'living' feature of the exhibition.
Each year, as a special highlight to the exhibition, one of the groups invites a particularly gifted artist to contribute to the display.
