Topic: Poverty Bay Professional Development with presentations from the IRD, Department of Labour, Crombie Lockwood Insurance and Control and Minimise Your Overheads
Suited to: owners and managers
This three hour session includes breakfast and presentations by: the IRD on the legal obligations around tips; the Department of Labour on the different types of employment relationships, how to handle workplace conflict and a run through of effective (and legal) disciplinary processes; and Crombie Lockwood on the recent changes in the insurance industry, what that means for your business and how changes are likely to affect you. Plus the following...
Control and Minimise Your Overheads, presented by Grant Bailey, owner The Fettuccine Brothers Restaurant.
As the owner of Gisborne's The Fettuccine Brothers and with a long history of setting up new kitchen systems, Grant has learnt the importance of monitoring and minimalising food and labour costs. Happy to share the techniques that work for him, Grant outlines how to maximise your profits without sacrificing quality cuisine and exceptional service.
It's vital that business owners and managers take time away from their business to work on their business. The Association's professional development programme offers short courses for owners, managers (and staff), so that hospitality professionals can take just a couple of hours out of their busy working week to focus on upskilling and improving their business.
The courses are held in Auckland at the Restaurant Association's venue, taste, ground floor, 45 Normanby Road, Mt Eden and every two weeks at a different region around the country.
For more information on what's coming up, or to book a session, phone Jo Birdsall on 09 638 8403 or email jo@tastenz.co.nz.
Please note: price does not include GST.
