Pops on Pipes - Wurlitzer Pipe Organ Show

Back in 2003 David Wickerham from the USA came our way for the very first time. Our audience that afternoon thrilled to his fun and toe-tapping choice of music, with two encores being demanded before they let him go! Once again, David Wickerham is to whisk an Auckland audience into a frenzy with another program of popular and lively music on the Wurlitzer pipe organ. What better way to conclude our 2012 “Pops on Pipes” season of shows!

Enjoy a true "Pops" program of music from the light classics, the '30s and '40s, the shows and right on up to today.

See "close up" on the giant screen, the organist making music on this unique pipe organ complete with its own percussion section of drums, cymbals, piano, harp, xylophone etc. All real "live" percussion instruments - truly a one-man unit orchestra.

This musical extravaganza will also mark the this vintage 1926 Wurlitzer pipe organ's 30th year of entertaining Auckland at the Hollywood Cinema - Nov 1982 - Nov 2012!

Tickets on sale at the door on the day from 1.15pm - ages 10-18 free with a paying adult.
