Pilates is a non-impact method of muscle conditioning which emphasizes controlled movements and stretches to develop strong and flexible muscles. Pilates develops torso strength, limb and spinal flexibility, body awareness and postural control and breathing. It is an excellent tool for strengthening weak muscles, stretching tight muscles, post-pregnancy reconditioning and injury rehabilitation. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel and an exercise mat (or a thick blanket).
