Pauline Bern's distinctive contemporary jewellery exhibition, previously shown at Object Space in Auckland, is now being shown in Wellington for the first time.
The title refers to the "make do" practice of cooking a leg of mutton or lamb in an imitation of goose, which was not available to the colonial settlers, for their Christmas dinner. Pauline has used local materials to create fantastical brooches such as the False Cockle Blossom brooch (pictured).
