The Auckland Council Public Art Team invite you to view a new exhibition Powerflowers by Paul Hartigan in the Bledisloe Walkway (between Aotea Square and Wellesley Street).

'Powerflowers' is a series of lush images made with multiple shots of flowers exposed onto a single Polaroid photograph. Shot in the Auckland Domain in the late 1980s, these images predate today's digital photographic technology that allows for a range of visual effects. Aspiring to an ideal that blends a time-lapse sequence of multiple perspectives, Hartigan employs a painter's eye when rendering his subject.

The Bledisloe Walkway Light Boxes exhibition series is organised by Auckland Council's Public Art team and is installed in the walkway between Aotea Square and Wellesley Street in Auckland's CBD.

Powerflowers opens on Friday 3 August at 5.30pm.
