Were celebrating our largest steam loco's birthday so come and join us. Ja 1260 is 60 years old. Built in 1952 in the Hillside railway workshops in Dunedin, this 110 ton monster was one of 35 built. It is now the largest operating steam loco in the South Island at a preservation museum. So come and have a ride behind her.
We're situated in the pleasant Tinwald domain so make it a day out.
Ice creams, snacks and cold drinks available on site in our souvenir shop.
