Festivities start at Onehunga Community Centre & Library at 11am with a welcome and entertainment including a martial arts demonstration, and plenty of activities to keep children entertained, from colouring and quizzes, to lantern making.
At 1:30pm the fabulous Lion Dance Parade takes place around Onehunga Mall, with the lion blessing shops that offer traditional gifts of red envelopes.
