Oil Pastel Lizard Drawing Workshop

Lizard in oil pastel workshop for beginners - learn to how overlay oil pastels in layers using a fun technique called scraffetto.

Size: 27cm x 56 cm (between an A3 & A2 in length)
Fees include: good quality art board paper, use of all oil pastels, step by step instructions, picture reference, morning & afternoon tea.
Class size: maximum 10 students
Tutors: Richard & Diana Moore
Fees: $150 ($50 deposit is required on registration within 7 days)

Richard will be demonstrating techniques and taking you step by step through this oil pastel picture, by doing a painting at the same time. Both Diana and Richard will be working with each student on a individual basis, problem solving with you and ensuring you are completing each step successfully.

Here is a basic outline for the day. The times are approximate.

9am - Sketching drawing on paper with step by step instructions by Richard & Diana. Transfer image on to board using a simple technique.
10.30am - Morning tea
10.45am - Applying oil pastel base coats
12.30pm - Lunch
1pm - Applying detail to the picture
2.30pm - Afternoon tea
2.45pm - Completing picture with detail.
4pm - Sign painting

These oil pastel workshops are fantastic for those students who don't feel confident and also may of not had any previous art experience. No natural talent is required!

Every student will take an oil pastel picture home that they can be proud of.

The classes are fun and informal, with lots of encouragement and support from ourselves and the other students.
