Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music, is very privileged to have two fine violins: one attributed as ca 19th century Hungarian and the other as ca 18th century Italian). Clare Galambos-Winter, who was in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years, gifted the instruments to the School for use by promising students: one undergraduate and one postgraduate.
In this concert Kate Oswin and Arna Shaw, the respective under- and postgraduate 2012 recipients of these violins, will perform with Clare Galambos-Winter as guest of honour. The specific programme of works to be played will be published here when confirmed.
The concert is free and members of the public are welcome.
Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music is a joint enterprise of Massey University and Victoria University of Wellington.
