Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music, in collaboration with Saxcess, New Zealand's premiere classical saxophone quartet, is hosting a Classical Saxophone Festival over Queen's Birthday Weekend, 2012.
The Festival, based mainly at the NZSM Kelburn Campus, is open to classical saxophone players of diverse backgrounds and experience from across New Zealand. Over two and a half days the participants will have the opportunity to take part in or observe masterclasses and concerts, and receive individual and ensemble tuition from some of our most experienced and accomplished classical saxophonists. These tutors include NZSM Lecturer and Wind Instruments Coordinator Deborah Rawson, NZSM Artist Teacher Simon Brew and alumnus Hayden Sinclair.
Participants should go to the NZSM website and download the NZSM Classical Saxophone Festival Registration Form (see link above). This form should be completed and posted, faxed or emailed to NZSM by Monday 28 May. Payment by cheque can be included in the mail or, more conveniently, registration payment can be made here by credit card.
